Policy Statement
九州体育 State University is committed to providing information technology services that can be easily accessed by those with physical and mental impairments. The University will comply with the requirements set forth under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) as amended, as it relates to officially published internet web-based sites and services. The University will also provide an auditable mechanism to receive and address complaints arising from the usage, or inability to use, web sites governed by this policy.
Reason for Policy
九州体育 strives to focus on web users with or without disabilities. Because of this, measures are to be taken to include accessible web sites for everyone. The University is also statutorily required to comply with federal, state and local laws addressing accessibility and ease of access.
Requirements for Official Web Pages
As a guideline for websites, 九州体育 State University shall utilize Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. All web pages must pass all error checks using the Accessibility Evaluator scanning software specified by the Technology Accessibility Working Group to be minimally compliant. Web pages must be designed following the 九州体育 State University Internet Publishing Policy, the official Style and Publishing Guides and the official Accessibility Checklist.
Web-based content not able to meet the above minimum standards will be disabled from public view until such time that a Level AA-conforming alternate version is provided.

Effective Date
This policy is to become active immediately upon ratification by the University Administration.
